EDGAR BANASAN(エドガー・バナサン)  

Edgar is a native of the Kalinga Indigenous community in the Philippines and a master bamboo craftsman recognized as one of the few remaining experts of bamboo musical instruments. He released three albums to introduce bamboo music. As an educator, he has been actively conducting bamboo music and art workshops both in the Philippines and the world. He served as a visiting faculty of the “Healing Through Bamboo Music” course at the National Institute of Design, India, in 2019. He was a Training Fellow at Kanazawa College of Art in Japan in 2016. フィリピンの先住民族カリンガの出身で、竹楽器の数少ない専門家としても知られる竹工芸家。竹楽器を紹介するアルバムを3枚発表。教育者としても、フィリピン国内はもとより世界各地にて、工芸や音楽のワークショップを精力的に行っている。2019年にはインド国立デザイン学院の客員教員を務めた。工芸は楽器だけでなく、ジュエリー、家具、インスタレーション、セルフビルドの家など多岐にわたる。2016年、金沢美術工芸大学にて、工芸研修を終了。個人公式ホームページ

AYAKA YAMASHITA (山下 彩香) 

Ayaka is a Japanese landscape researcher, cultural producer, and a doctoral student at Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). Her research explores theories of landscape and sound. For over a decade, her organization EDAYA has worked to preserve Kalinga indigenous bamboo musical instruments; that experience has formed her interest in how nature and the ways of life of locals are represented through sounds. She has organized various workshops, events, and exhibitions globally.

As an experienced fieldworker and community organizer, Ayaka has consulted several Japan International Cooperation Agency projects and teaches international development at the University of Nagano. She is also a trained facilitator, certified as a Facilitator for Change by ChangemakerXchange. She holds a Bachelor of Agriculture (International Sustainable Agriculture Development) and a Master of Health Sciences (Human Ecology) from the University of Tokyo. In 2021, she graduated from Harvard GSD (Master in Design Studies: Risk and Resilience) as a Fulbright scholar. Ayaka’s official website   

フィリピンのカリンガに於いて、竹の楽器やクラフトを媒体とした文化の活性化・保存に取り組む「EDAYA」の共同設立者。東京大学にて学士及び修士号を取得後、国際開発の世界で約10年間経験を積み、その後アメリカへ留学。ハーバード大学デザイン大学院にて修士課程を修了。現在は同校の博士課程にて、サウンドスケープの研究に取り組む。暮らしの中の音を、自然や社会や文化との繋がりの中で考え直し、様々な人々と未来のための対話を紡ぐための方法を考えている。2021年より、長野県立大学にて非常勤講師も行っている。個人公式ホームページ
